Deep Background for November 29-December 5, 2009

I spent the couple days off on Thanksgiving remembering when I used to work on the holiday and watching the TV show that greatly influenced my getting into the business, “WKRP in Cincinnati.” HT to Jim Griffey for the Turkey Drop link (oh the humanity!).

My first Thanksgiving away from home included a lengthy airshift on WDOE/Dunkirk punctuated by a Swanson “Hungry Man” frozen turkey dinner. I was really feeling sorry for myself. Later years included switching automation tapes and recording voice tracks so that others could enjoy time off.

Conversation between Erie media professionals and the users of that media is what we specialize in here at Press and Tower. You can keep the communication stream running with your comments below, or by sending an e-mail to joel@nataliemedia.com or tweet @pressandtower.

Embrace the chaos!

I did a lot of reading R&R.
