On Monday, Jan. 5th, I had the good fortune to speak to the New Media class at Mercyhurst College. I shared my story and observations on what is happening in media today with this eclectic group of students, coming in from several different majors.

I took advantage of the face time I had with these members of the “under-30″ crowd to lead them in a short conversation of their media usage habits, and I recorded our chat for this podcast.

Former Wired editor forecasts change on a massive scale

Get ready for the earth to crack open.

That was the visual Peter Leyden used to exemplify the tectonic paradigm shift that our country and world are experiencing as the Millennial Generation comes to power.

Leyden is the former managing editor of Wired Magazine and recently stepped down as the director of the New Politics Institute. He brought a fast-paced and fascinating presentation titled “The Millennial Moment: How the Young Millennial Generation is Changing America and the World” to the Reed Union building at Penn State Behrend Tuesday evening.
