With the number of people from Erie that go to Wendell August Forge, I’m surprised that the ETN had NOTHING about Saturday’s fire that leveled the place either on Sunday or today. It happened early enough in the day that you’d think it would have made Sunday’s, and there’s no excuse for it not being in today’s. WJET-TV did a big piece on it…don’t know if 12/35 did.

Actually TOM, the paper ran a short AP story Sunday:

Well, I looked twice and missed it…perhaps because I figured it would get more space. As I said earlier, with the number of Erie people that go down there, I thought it deserved more.

Anyone having issues with Time Warner cable and channel 1309 during Cleveland Cavalier games? The HD channel is never on.

Lisa Weismann still works for WSEE. She was filling in for Stephanie Schelkun on Mornings Live this morning. I’m not quite sure, but when Scott Bremner anchored Mornings Live Friday morning for Stephanie, he said that some people were feeling sick, so the viewers were seeing different anchors on the air. Ray Petelin made it seem like he took a few days off last week, so Liz Crawford took care of weather.

I hate to bring rumors to this blog, but I have read on another website (Topix) that Julie Coates will be doing weather on the weekends and is being replaced on WICU’s morning news program. I’m not sure how true the information is, so take it with a grain of salt.

Also, it is true – the anchor/reporter profiles for both Lisa Weismann and Jamison Hixenbaugh on WSEE.tv do not work. Scott McDonnell’s profile did not initially work either when he was added to the site, but it does work now. I assume the webmaster never finished adding their pages to the site.

    That’s all, folks.

If they get rid of Julie on the weekdays, I will forever stop watching 12 News This Morning. She is the best!

Topix is nothing but a cesspool of rumor and gossip. I don’t believe anything that comes from that awful site.

  8. PR says:

Surprisingly the info on 12/35 and 24 that gets posted on Topix usually is pretty close to what is happening, or will happen.

  9. Just In says:

Where is Kristin Kane? Is she still employed at WSEE/WICU?

  10. Chris K says:

According to Wikipedia, Kristin Kane is at WSFL in Miami.

And Topix is usually right about news personnel changes. They’ve been on top of the incompetence at WSEE and Lilly broadcasting in general, including their impending layoffs of last year that were initially denied, but eventually happened. They were right about Jacqueline Policastro leaving to WISH, weeks before she suddenly disappeared. They were right about Amelia leaving, reporting that back in mid January. And Topix was where I first heard about Kristin going to Miami quite a while ago.
