Love KDKA down here in Cochranton. While I may be in the middle of nowhere according to some people, it's a sweet spot reception wise for Erie, Pittsburgh & Youngstown. 3 antennas here makes a huge difference.

Every one in Venango county knows the news is so bad in Erie, they watch KDKA or WPXI. Because they can! That also means they can watch a Steelers game and not a Bills game. I miss KDKA

RIP WSEE: then why don't you call Lou Baxter or Tom Atkins and express your concerns to them? I'm sure they would listen to you? Thanks pal

Wait a minute pal. a "certified" meteorlogist says confirmed touchdown. The "#1" weather dude says no touchdown. (Officials are reviewing to see if the ball in fact crossed the plain)
All I'm looking for is consistancy. If it turned out to be nothing and I saw the noon but missed the 6PM, I'm out of luck Huh? I think the viewers of Venango county and the entire DMA deserve more that's all.

I checked my tape of WJET from yesterday. Amelia Segal DID in fact say "CONFIRMED tornado on the ground near Oil City."

At 5pm Tom Atkins showed some pictures from Steve "MainStreet" Marshall - WJET resident storm chaser/stringer. Tom mentioned a "possible radar indicated" Tornado but "no touchdown or damage" near Oil Creek State Park. So it was mentioned at 5pm - by 11pm it was old news and no need to mention it.

Move along. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Did Amelia say "tornado" or "possible tornado" (based on radar activity? My bet is that it wound up amounting to nothing and that Atkins was more concenrned about the big snowfall headed our way and prepping the viewer for that.
