It took about 5 years for Froggy 100.3 / 98.5 out of Meadville / Oil City to stop calling themselves "The All New Froggy." Maybe they could call themselves "93.9 The Gray Wolf."

How many years now have The Wolf been on the air in Erie, three or four years?

When are they going to stop billing themselves as "the new 93.9 the Wolf"?

I remember my first job in TV on Thanksgiving. My boss sent me to the airport to get video of families reunited for the holidays. When I got back to the newsroom he called me into his office and said that he had sent me on the assignment purposely, so that I could get over the issue of working on holidays. It worked, but it still stung a little.

I, like Dan Sheldon worked on Thanksgiving day 3-7pm on the Wolf. I have worked in radio approx. 20 years. I don't mind working on holidays either. It could be much worse.

I worked 10-3 on Rocket Thurday and I am scheduled for the same shift on Christmas day. I don't mind, it isn't that long a shift and I still have time for my family and I get holiday pay :)

Yeah, as one who worked many a holiday back in the day, I can relate. Of course now thanks to automation/syndication...that sort of thing has become a relic of the past.
