I must apologize for the quiet week last week. I guess it was a mix of recovery from the busy Extreme Makeover week, lots to do at work, and waiting for answers on some local media issues that I still haven’t received.
But what I have to say isn’t nearly as important as what you have to say. I’m just the instigator. So let loose on all things Erie and national media.

Scott Fybush has great pictures of the WJET, WFXP, and WQLN installations on his Site of the Week:

Yeah…and the original RCA FM transmitter is STILL THERE!! I remember that sucker.
What happens to all the analog broadcasting equipment? Dust Collectors or Landfill? It would be a shame to allow these artifacts of Erie broadcast history just to rust away. We should find one of those empty cement shells up at the mall and turn it into an Erie Broadcasting Museum dedicated to preserving past glory.
Does anyone have an old analog TV that they are willing to dispose of?
O WOW David I just gave Goodwill two sets. A 13 inch Sony and a 19in Toshisa that was never used much. i wish I would have known.
