Poll: how do you entertain yourself on a road trip?

Perhaps it is the relative newness of EVDO 3G wireless broadband in the Erie market, but only 30% of P&T poll respondents said that they had listened to live audio streaming or watched video on their smartphones. Meanwhile, 60% said they were more inclined to use their phone solely for calling and texting.

It’s summertime and the vacations and road trips are already happening. Part of the traveling experience is the entertainment you enjoy while getting to where you are going. So what keeps you company on the long drive?

You can choose your top three choices, and if I missed something, drop it in the comments and I’ll add to the poll.

I think a choice here should be podcasts. I load up my iPod with a few different podcasts before trips (both road and air) and it really makes the time fly by. It’s a great chance for me to catch up on This American Life + Planet Money, 2 great podcasts.
