P&T Interview: Morning’s Live

In early April, after we watched all of the preparations and then the live show from back stage, I had a chance to sit down and talk to the Mornings Live team from WSEE to talk about their show and how it affects their lives. Raychel, Ray, Bob and Megan share some of the special challenges of going to work at an early hour, and how they’ve embraced social media to have a strong connection with their audience. They take on some of the misconceptions people have about their work, and talk about the future of the show.

Given the 10 minute limitations of YouTube, we’ll have the entire unedited interview available as an audio podcast shortly. Enjoy!

A really great job with the interview. They do a terrific job considering its the four of them. It kinda sounds like there will be a Mornings Live in the future, but they didn’t seem 100% confident. They sound very frustrated that there is no weekend people at all in the news dept. at WSEE. They shouldn’t have that proplem any more with the merge with WICU. I wish tham all luck!

Great interview. Their candid comments were a nice surprise (i.e. “we totally missed the Granada fire because we don’t have any news assets working the weekends.”) You can tell they really enjoy what they do and are proud of the product that they put out.

Thanks Joel…and nice reaction shot too. (The lighting on you was great!)
