Sad Day! Paul Harvey dies

Surrounded by his family at a hospital in Phoenix, veteran news broadcaster Paul Harvey died Saturday at the age of 90.

Paul Harvey News and Comment has been a staple of America’s radio listening since 1951. His feature the “Rest of the Story” told inside details of famous people since the 1970′s. His program was heard last on WJET 1400.

    If I’m not mistaken, I remember Paul Harvey also having syndicated TV commentaries which were part of local TV newscasts at one time…..maybe in the 1960s, 1970s or 1980s.

    Does anyone else remember that ?

    Yes I recall that even at a very young age in the ’70′s. Paul Harvey was on WJET TV when Bob Sutherland was the anchor. It was probably an ABC affiliates only deal or something to carry Paul.
